South Carolina in Pictures: 25 Beautiful Places to ...

Beautiful Spring Day!

The Charleston Senior tour couldn’t have picked a better day to play golf.  Lake Marion didn’t disappoint either as the course was in the best shape I have seen in at least 15 years!

The Champ Flight had a battle all day as Mike Cobb and Tad Brown traded leads back and forth, Hole 17 proved to be the difference as <Mike edged Tad by a shot, 72, 73

The A flight was almost a runaway with Andy Balao putting amazingly well with a “Borrowed Putter”. Andy fired a 74 and was sitting pretty until JC Newton eagled Hole 16 to pull within 2.  Andy birdied the 18th hole and secured the hard fought victory

The B flight was a Run-away as Keving McGaughey fired a great round of 75 to cruise to 5-shot victory over Nicolas Anderson and Brien Cozart who both posted supherb rounds of 80.  Nick took the scorecard playoff due to his incredible back nine score of 1 under par 35.

The C flight just couldn’t compete with the “Mayor” today as David Deese was red hot, wining the flight, skins, a CTP and the 50/50!  On top of that he he posted a really nice round of 81 to secure the C flight victory with a 4 shot victory over Ed Cassady

The D flight saw Hank Brinegar enjoy the day as he fired a very nice round of 89 to cruise to an 8 shot victory of his playing companion Cleve Johnson whose steady played earned him second place.

Next on the schedule is the Armed Forces Challenge at Paris Island.  Please register early for this, the tournament is May 24th but cut-off is May 17.
