South Carolina in Pictures: 25 Beautiful Places to ...

Charleston Slays Wyboo

The Charleston Tour ventured up to Wyboo Golf Club on Aug 12th and they are certainly glad they did!

Not only was the course in Super shape, the weather albeit a bit sticky was a pleasant break from all the rain we have been experiencing.

The Championship flight was a battle all day, As Mark Ducker, Andy Motroni and Marty Bunch battled all day with a stroke or two difference at anytime.  Ducker’s back to back Birdies on 11 and 12 was the separation factor as he won by two shots.

The A flight for the second tournament in a row had a playoff. Tony Walters birdied two of the last three holes to tie Christion Chapman at even par! The playoff went four holes with each having a chance at winning, in the end it was Chapman with his second straight playoff victory to take a commanding lead in the points standing!

The B flight saw James Griffith post his best round ever on tour with an outstanding three over par 75 to win going away by 4 shots over Augusta’s Patrick Rachels.

The C flight was tight all day as well as David Cooler and Norm Fay were battling it out.  David tied Norm with a birdie on hole 17 only to have the bunker on 18 prove costly as Norm won by a shot with a nice par on the closing hole.

The D flight was pretty much a race for second as Steve Ingram also posted his best round ever with a very nice round of 81 to secure the run away victory!

Our last event of the year is Sep 6th at Legend Oaks.  Come on out to this great little track in the heart of Summerville!
