Q: Do I need to join both the Senior and Regular Golf Week Amateur Tours?
A: If you want to play in both, yes, you have to register for each one.
Keep in mind, both tours will never be on the same day and we will try to schedule different courses for each tour.
Q: Do I need to play in both tours?
A: No, You can play in either one, or both, if you are over the age of fifty.
Q: Are the tournaments on week ends or week days?
A: Most of the tournaments are scheduled on weekends but local Country Clubs won't allow us on their courses on the weekends.
Most all the tournaments scheduled on week days are private Country Clubs where you normally can't play unless you know soneone who belongs to the club.
Q: How many tournaments do I have to play?
A: You only play whatever or whenever you want. There is no obligation to play. But if you are interested in playing in the National Tournament at the end of the year in Hilton Head you need to qualify with at least 4 registered tournaments.
Q: Can I play in other tournaments outside of New York.
A: Yes, you are eligible to play in any Golf Week registered tournaments all accross the country including regionals in several areas.
Q: What's the advantage of the Senior tour? Do I tee off from the Senior tees everywhere?
A: Not necessarily. The Senior tee boxes are between 500-600 yards closer than the regular tour. (See the chart on the homepage)
