Championship Flight: Richard Matheny had a hot putter all day and road it to a 2 under par round of 70. The victory was the widest yet this season on tour as Matheny won by seven shots. John Walters, who finished in the tied 13th last week in the North Carolina Seniors event finished in solo second place with 77. Bill Phillips was 3rd at 78 and Gary Schatz fourth with 79. A Flight: Len McAlister wins again at the Palisades but this time on a scorecard playoff over Ricky Segal. Both McAlister and Segal fired rounds of 77 and McAlister took home first on the card. Paul Gargano and Bob Olsen also tied with 78 and Gargano grabbed third on the card.
B Flight: Marty James wins with 79 followed by Mike Ringuette with 81. Bob Deaton cashed in at third place with 85 and John Leak rounded out the top four spots at 86.
C Flight: Ray Schilling waxed the field with his best round ever an 80. Ray credited all the lessons he has been taking from the Dana Radar School for his great effort. Bill Sturgeon was second at 85 followed by Lloyd Morris and Sindo Mayor at 88. Morris got third place money on the card.
