Posted: 5/3/2012 2:21:11 PM

The next tour stop on Monday May 7th will take us to Lake Norman and the beautiful Peninsula CC.

Please email me back (Yes or No)
ASAP to get on the practice round list.

Practice rounds will be available (Tuesday-Thursday) only please don’t ask for weekend or Friday tee times as I have courses call me and wondering what I’m telling my players.  Cost for the weekday play rate is $55 and only by credit card as the pro shop can't accept cash.

Please email me back ASAP on The Peninsula as it always fills up fast!

Tee Boxes:

Champ & A Flight: Black Tees (6393)

B & C Flight: White Tees (6150) Play #9, 10 and 18 par fives from the Blue Tees

Also Note: Rock Barn has changed dates from 5/16 to 5/22 Tuesday!  Please respond (Yes or No) on this event too.

Championship Flight:

Gary Parks won for the first time ever on tour and did so in fine fashion as the wind swirled and gusted all day at Piper Glen on Monday.  Parks started slow but then birdied probably the three toughest hole stretch on the course the 9th, 10th and 11th holes.  Parks posted 39-34-73 for a two shot victory.  Dan Hendrickson came out for his rookie appearance and did so in fine fashion finishing in second place with 75.  Last weeks winner Bill Hall continues to play well and had a tough few final holes but still grabbed third place with 76.  John Walters rounded out the top 4 places with 78.

A Flight:

Steve MacIssaac came out in his first ever event and won with 76.  First timers rarely win first time out especially in A flight where the old veterans are tough in this flight.  John Allessio continues to improve out on tour as he grabbed second with 78 to go along with his first ever victory several weeks ago.  Tour veterans Len McAlister fired 79 for third and Tim Romeo 80 grabbed 4th place money.

B Flight:

Ray Smith won by one shot as his wind torn 83 held up for the victory on Monday.  Three other players finished right behind Smith at 84.  Bob Chandler, Wayne Crupi and Pat Dolan all finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the card playoff.

C Flight:

David Cline won with 86 and gladly accepted his promotion to B flight for the tours next stop at The Peninsula.  Jerry Hoogeveen finished in second with 89, Mike Walczak and Van Storie tied at 94 with Walczak winning third on the card playoff.
