HARTLEY HITS SENIOR TOUR JACKPOT
Posted: 9/26/2014 9:18:38 AM

Browns Summit, NC  (September 25, 2014)  -  Richard Hartley of High Point had a pleasant surprise waiting for him when he finished a 4-hole sudden-death playoff with Pittsboro's Dwight Davis for the C Flight top spot in today's Senior Amateur Golf Tour event held at Bryan Park - The Champions Course.  Not only was he victorious in the playoff, but when he arrived in the scoring area he found out that he was the only player in his flight to win a "skin" in the tournament's Skins Game.

Between the First Place prize for beating 35 competitors in his flight and the skins pool award, Hartley brought home over $500.00 worth of cash and gift cards for his efforts.  "Not bad for shooting an 85", quipped Tour Director Bruce Hallenbeck.

The other Flight winners in the event were Craig Sturdivant of Sanford in the Championship Flight (73), McLeansville's Ron Brady in the A Flight with a 75, and Jim Miller of Winston-Salem with an 80 in the B Flight.

"The greens were very fast and scores overall were higher than usual, but these flight winners all put up some very respectable numbers", said Hallenbeck.

Next stop for the Senior Tour is Bentwinds Country Club in Fuquay-Varina on Thursday, October 2.  There are a limited number of spots still available for that event.
