Mike Menyhart's 70 Takes Championship & SrChampionship Flight At Duran

On a typically windy day at Duran in Viera Mike Menyhart put his local knowledge to work as he fired a steady round of 2-under 36-34-70 to take the third event of the 2015 season.  He was two better than two players, Danny Nash & John Ward who were second at even par 72.

Menyhart also doubles in the senior Championship side and took the victory over John Ward (72).  Twenty-two players competed in the Championship flight again this week.  If you are a low handicap player looking for some more competition, you should check us out.

Gary Martinet Wins A & Senior A Flights With 74

Gary Martinet took top honors in the A flight this week, posting a nice round of 74.  He finished three better than Bill Rhiley & Donald Dunivant who finished with 77 to tie second.  Bill plays on the Jacksonville tour.  Jim Kenney and Eric Huffington tied for third with rounds of 80  Gary and Donald each double in senior A and finished 1-2, respectively there.

Mark Klenck Won B Flight & Senior B

Mark Klenck won a three man playoff to take top honors in B flight.  Don Lamb and Mike Salik matched Klenck's 82 to force the extra holes.  It was Lamb's second playoff of the season.  The three headed off down #1 and it only took Mark one hole to score a winning birdie.  Three more players finished one stroke out of the playoff, tied for fourth on 83. Mark also doubles in Senior B and he finished two ahead of Brad Bettin and Chet Rakowski (84) in Senior B. 

Kevin Kennett (R) Takes C Flight and Wayne Weaver (L) Wins Senior C At Duran

In C flight Kevin Kennett came up with arguably the best round of the day after posting a round of 80 to take C Flight.  It was good for a four stroke victory over Wayne Weaver.  Joe Porter (85) was third.  The victory earned Kennett a promotion to the B flight next time out.  Weaver also took home the Senior C victory.  It edged Porter and Billy Davis (85) by one.  Kennett's performance pushed his index into a new flight and he will move to B flight next time out.

Kevin Borak (L) Takes Third Straight D Flight Win; Earns Promotion to C Flight

New member Kevin Borak took the top prize in the D flight for the third tournament in a row with a score of 85.  It topped past Frank Fornari & Mike Meadows (90) of the Jacksonville tour by five strokes and earned him a promotion to C flight at Mission Inn.
