Chad Frank Takes Championship Flight At Disney Palm With 71

Once agaon the weather couldn't have been better as the Orlando Golfweek Amateur Tour visited the Disney Palm course.  It proved to be the "happiest place on earth" for Chad Frank as he shot 1-under 71 to take first in Championship flight.  Danny Nash was a close second at 72.  John Ward (77) and Al Clerico (78) were 3rd & 4th, respectively.

In the Senior Championship flight, John Ward's 77 was good for the victory.   Bill Shufelt was second with 79.

John Fry took top honors in A flight with a solid round of 77.  Two players were two back with 79'--Depriest Bowers & Eric Huffington.   In Senior A John Fry doubled as his 77 topped Robbie Robinson (80) by three.

Chris Mari a new member, shot 75 to win in the B flight.  Geoff Campbell and Eric Kellough tied for second place prize with 80.  Chris will move to A flight next time out.  Kevin Kennett and Andy Baker tied 4th with 81's.  In the Senior B flight.  Chet Parker posted 78 and beat Andy Baker (81) by three. Bill DeTorres (83) and Chet Rakowski (84) finished thrid and fourth.

Jay Freeman took the top prize in C flight.  His 86 topped Mark Johnson and Joe McCall, both shooting 88.   Johnson also doubles in he Senior C flight and took the victory with his 88.  Terry Lawson 90 was second.

The D flight needed a playoff to find a winner.  Louisiana North member Gabe Reynolds and Rich Williams each shot 94 and so they headed off #10 to settle the matter.  After halving the first hole, Gabe was able to prevail on the second extra hole.
