PERRAULT WINS A FLIGHT PLAYOFF; FRANK RALLIES TO TAKE CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT; SHUFELT WINS SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT

The Golfweek Amateur Tour made a trip to Streamsong Resort for the BSGC Regional.  For only the second time in tour history we had to shorten an event..  While Champ, SrChamp, A, B & SrB did finish 36 holes, the SrA, SrC, C and D flights had to be shortened to 27 holes.  But Streamsong did not disappoint as the Red and Blue courses challenged the players all weekend and the resort service is first class.  If you couldn't go this time, you should try to get there sometime in the future.

Chad Frank (79-69-148) came from three stokes off the pace after the first day with a second round 69 to pass first round leader Tom Dillon (76-78-154) and take a six shot victory.  Jeff Moritz moved into a tie for second with Dillon at 154.  He shot 75 on Sunday.  Bill Shufelt fired steady rounds of 74-73 to finish first in Senior Championship Flight.

A Flight saw Mike Perrault and Eric Kellough finish with identical rounds of 79-81-160.  Mike won the trophy on the first extra hole.  Phil VanGeersdaelen (Charlotte) finished third, with 81-81-162.   Doug Conklin took Senior A Flight with 77-36.  Donnie Dunivant was second, 78-40-118.

Shane McAdams (NCF), 86-78-164 won the Golfweek B flight by one shot over Rex Hyder, 85-80-165.  Robert Orue was third.   Jonathan Pinkney won the C Flight with 80-43-123.  Jonathan earned a promotion to B flight beginning at Tranquilo next time out.  Michael Moore was second with 85-49-134.  Rick Whitman won the Senior C flight with 92-44-136..  

The D flight belonged to Kenney Brumfield, who shot 90-45-135 and won going away.  Ken Ross (Tampa) was second with 99-50-149.
