GARRETT MORRISON WINS AFTER 3 YEARS AWAY FROM TOUR; ROBINSON TOPS A FLIGHT WITH ONLY SUB-80 ROUND

The members of the Orlando Golfweek Amateur Tour played event 3 at Victoria Hills Golf Club. It was a cool morning that gave way to a sunny, hot 90 degree day.  The Orlando tour continued to use Live Scoring where players were able to keep up with what was going on around the course in real time.  It was easy to use, well liked by the players and will be used at all of our remaining 2017 tournaments.  Garrett Morrison, back on tour after a three year hiatus, won the Championship flight with 73.  Chad Frank took second one stroke back.  On the senior Championship flight side Chad Frank won in his senior tour debut.  Jim Hammons was second with 78. 

Robbie Robinson won the A flight after a fine round of 78--the only score under 80 in the flight.  Brad Bettin shot 80 for second.  On the senior A side, Gary Martinet fired 78 and tied Robinson for the top spot.  Gary sank a long putt from just off the green on the second playoff hole for the win..

Bill DeTorres took a two stroke victory in the B flight, beating Rick Broennle.  Ray Rodriguez and Chad Tage tied for third on 86.   Bill's 80 also won the senior B flight.  Jonathan Pinkney (Cincinnati) won the C Flight with 80; New tour member Jaime Gutierrez was second with 87.  Joe Harris took senior C Flight with 90.

The D flight saw Matt Tutera (90) take a two shot victory over two players--Jeremy Mccloud and Steve Eberly, each with 92.
