The Golfweek Amateur Tour continued its run of good fortune with the weather as only a short drizzle came through Southern Dunes.on our tournament day.  The event was worth double points to Orlando players.  This made for some intersting races as we head for the final regular season event at the Crooked Cat course at Orange County National on September 9.  Player of the Year is still up dor grabs in four flights.  Jeff Moritz was the only player under after posting a 70 for the victory in Championsship Flight.  Jacob Richard shot even par 72 for second.  Only 30 points separate Moritz and points leader Chad Frank entering the final event.

A Flight saw Robin Gomez shoot 76 to edge past Michael Perrault and Eric Huffington, both with 77.    It was the second straight 1-2 finish for Gomez and Perrault.   Donald Dunivant also won for the second straight week in Senior A Flight after posting 77.  Mike Lombardo was second with 79.

Dan Seidenfaden (77) won the B flight.  Chad Tatge was second with 79.  Ray Rodriguez was third with 81.  Ray won Senior B with his 81.  Steve Johnson (82) was second in Senior B.   Austin Grimm won the C Flight with 86.  Dan Podawiltz was second for the second week in a row with 87, Joe Harris (88) was third.  Joe's 88 was good enough to win Senior C by one over Rick Whitman (89).

The D flight saw young Collin Dillon shoot 88 and won for the second time this year.  Chris Shuler finished second with 90.  Po Lehman (Tampa) shot 91 for third.  The victory propelled Dillon into the C flight for the season's final regular season event at OCN.
