SORRENTO, FL—Dan Johnston and Jay Kocher won their first tournaments on the Senior Amateur Golf Tour of North Central Florida at RedTail Golf Club on Thursday (1/26/12) and Roger Little shot his age on this greens-perfect course.
Johnston captured the "A Flight" win with a steady 74 in windy, blustery conditions from the 6500-yard Tournament tees.
Kocher prevailed in a sudden-death playoff with Little in the "B Flight" from the 6200-yard white tees after the two shot a pair of 78’s.
Morriston, FL, resident Little, who is 78 years old, accomplished one of golf’s most treasured goals by shooting his age.
Both Johnston and Kocher are in their second year on Tour, having played the Tour in 2011 and are from The Villages, FL.
In the "Championship Flight", Doug Savage (of the Kentucky Tour) took first place with a 73, over Tom Gallager of The Villages who was one shot back at 74.

Finishing third in the "B Flight" with an 84 was John Teller of Ocala, FL.
