OCALA, FL—Paul Bastien and Ray Morawski got their first wins Wednesday (Mar. 22) at the Senior Amateur Golf tour of North Central Florida at Country Club of Ocala and Jay Kocher got his second win this year.

     Bastien got off to a good start with a birdie on the first hole, then sealed his win by shooting an 83 to take the "A Flight", while Morawski had to play two extra holes in sudden-death to beat Chuck Blankenship to win the "C Flight."  Both finished the first 18 with a 90.  In the "B Flight", Jay Kocher won his second tournament of the year by shooting a 79.

     Congratulations to Kocher who moves up to "A Flight," and to Frank Murphy and Joe Vaughn who move up to "B Flight."  Great playing, guys.

     "A Flight" birdies paid $18 each; "B" and "C Flight" birdies paid $20 each.

     Closest-to-the-Pin on the front was won by Dennis Nault at 12’ 1".

     The next tournament is the "Spring Major" at Mission Inn Resort and Spa in Howey-in-the-Hills on April 11-12.  This two-day event is for double points.  Note that the one ball rule will be in effect.  Deadline to register and pay is April 4.  Special room rates are available by calling 1-800-874-9053.
