HODGE, MILLER, CLEMENT, DAYTON GET FIRSTS; FOSTER WINS AGAIN ON TOUR
EUSTIS, FL—It was “first time” day at the North Central Florida Senior Amateur Golf Tour tournament at Black Bear Golf Club last Saturday (Mar. 16).
Denis Hodge got his first hole-in-one; and Carl Miller, A Flight; Mike Clement, B Flight; and Jesse Dayton, C Flight, each won for the first time on Tour.
Hodge’s perfect golf shot was with a wedge on the 107 yard par 3 fifteenth hole. Miller had birdies on the second and fourth holes to finish with an 81. Clement had a birdie on the second hole to finish with a 79. Dayton shot a smooth 83.
In the Championship Flight, Bill Foster shot a 79 to win again. He recorded back-to-back birdies on fifteen and sixteen.
Robbie Robinson came in second in the A Flight with an 86.
In the B Flight, Les Brightbill was second with an 82, which included birdies on the fifth and sixteenth holes. Third place went to Miroslav Vojtisek, who had a birdie on number four, as he scored an 82.
Championship and A Flight birdies paid $17 each; B and C Flight birdies paid $33 each.
The Tour’s next tournament is at Pine Barrens at World Woods in Brooksville on Apr. 13. Deadline for registration and payment is Apr. 6.
