NAULT, BLANKENSIP WIN FOR FIRST TIME; DAVE SMITH WINS AGAIN
LAKE MARY, FL—Dennis Nault, "A Flight", and Chuck Blankenship, "C Flight", both won for the first time on the Senior Amateur Golf Tour of North Central Florida tournament held at Timacuan Golf Club Thursday (Feb. 23). Nault shot a 79 and Blankenship shot an 87.
In the "Championship Flight", Dave Smith carded a 77 to win for the second time on Tour this year. Rounding out the competition was Chet Parker who took the "B Flight" with an 80.
Four players rolled in two birdies each in a display of great putting. They were Dave Stuart, Robbie Robinson, Tom Grant, and Woody Gatehouse.
Birdies in the "Championship" and "A Flights" paid $30 each. The lone birdie in the "B" and "C Flights" paid $100.
Closest-to-the-pin in the "Championship" and "A Flights" was Dave Smith; in the "B" and "C Flight" was Mickey Solomone.
The next tournament is at P.B. Dye’s designed Black Bear Golf Club in Eustis, FL, on Wed. Mar. 14. Deadline to sign up and pay is Wed. Mar. 7.
