SORRENTO, FL—Jay Davis got his first win of the year and Ray Morawski notched a repeat win at the Senior Amateur Golf Tour of North Central Florida tournament at Eagle Dunes Golf Club on Saturday (June 2).

Davis shot a solid round of 75 to win the “A Flight.”  With a birdie on the second hole, he then parred everything except for one bogey on the front and three on the back.

Morawski won the “C Flight” with an 87.  He shot bogey golf on the front and then rolled in three pars on the back to finish the nine with a 42.

Finishing second in the “A Flight” was Ted Kowalczyk, who rolled in back-to-back birdies on the second and third holes, and finished with an 80.

In a score card playoff with Kelly Minton, Jim Castello placed second in the “C Flight” with an 89.

“A Flight” birdies paid $18 each; the only birdie in the “C Flight” paid $60.

The Tour’s next tournament is an intra-state challenge tournament with the Tampa and Orlando tours at Black Diamond Ranch on July 2.  Deadline to register and pay is June 25.
