PELT, BRIGHTBILL AND DAYTON ARE REPEAT WINNERS
BROOKSVILLE, FL—Glen Pelt, Les Brightbill and Jesse Dayton all won again on the North Central Florida Senior Amateur Golf Tour last Saturday (May 11, 2013) on the Rolling Oaks course at World Woods.
Glen Pelt rose to the occasion and shot a solid 74, that included a birdie on the fifth hole, to win the A Flight again. Second place was won by Tour new member David Peake with an 81.
In the B Flight, Les Brightbill won again with an 81 as he rolled in a birdie on the third hole. Tom McMurray took second with an 82 and Jerry Smith was third with an 83.
Nailing down another win in a sudden-death playoff was Jesse Dayton, who played very consistent golf on his way to an 83. Second place was taken by Roger Jenkins, and Steve Whitlock took third with an 85.
A Flight birdies paid $23 each; B and C Flight birdies paid $60 each.
The Tour’s next tournament is May 25 at the Country Club of Ocala. Deadline to register and pay is May 18.
