NOTICE: BERMUDA RUN EVENT
CANCELLED FOR 3/5
Due to a dire weather
forecast for this Thursday of 100% chance of rain with a possibility of sleet
and a low temperature in the 20s, we regrettably have made the decision to
cancel our scheduled Senior Tour event this week at Bermuda Run (West).
No make-up date has been
set to reschedule at this time. We will be working with club management
to see if an alternate date might be possible for later in the season.
The Golfweek Tour will
be playing at Bermuda Run this Saturday (3/7) with a 9:00am shotgun
start. Any Senior Tour member who would like to play this great course is
welcome to sign-up and play in this event.
Special consideration
will be given to tee box locations for any Senior Tour member who elects to
play, however it will not be one tee-box closer on every hole - just selected
ones. Also, while you would be fully vested in the event and eligible for
all prizes, no points will be awarded to Seniors who participate.
Again, let me express my
regrets at this decision to cancel, however as Seniors, aside from comfort
concerns, the health factor for all our members was also a big part of this
decision.
As all longtime Tour
"Vets" know the fact that we have canceled events two
consecutive weeks is unprecedented in the 18 year history of the Tour in this
area.
Let's pray for some good
weather going forward. Thanks for your understanding.
Bruce

Next Thursday, come play the Neuse which offers rocks,
rolls, twists and turns.
The Neuse
offers a thrilling 7,010-yard (from the back tees) roller coaster ride
that belies its peaceful setting along the banks of The Neuse River.
Golf course architect John LaFoy carved The Neuse from the natural
terrain, without moving a lot of dirt or trees.
Come join
us next Thursday for the points, prizes, and your Tour
"goodies" that you purchased with your membership.
Early
season events always produce a good field and this year should be no
exception.
We will see
you there next Thursday or this Saturday at Bermuda Run.
