Anderson Creek Club was the site for the Central Carolina Senior Amateur Golf Tour event on Thursday July 28th. The weather was warm as the players tackled this challenging golf course. 

Eli Villanueva collected another win in the Champ flight by posting an excellent one over par score of 71. Alan Dirk posted 79 as runner up, while Joey Moffitt carded 80 to place third. 

In the A flight, Ron Brady carded back to back birdies and three overall to shoot two over par 74 for the victory. John East grabbed second place with a score of 79, while Keith Thomas posted 80 in third place. Howard Nemenz and Ron Hockensmith both fired scores of 81 in their T4 finish. Kirby Kim from the Eastern NC Tour placed sixth shooting 82. 

Ben Wheaton in the B flight was as hot as the sun as he fired off a score of 77 in the four shot win. James Demyan took runner up honors in the flight as he shot 81. Willie Boyd posted an 82 in third place, while Tony Mooneyham from the Eastern NC Tour placed fourth carding an 83. Dick Kuehl and Adam Hoeh each shot 84 in the T5 finish. 

In the C flight, Rich Henn from the Eastern NC Tour made his drive worthwhile as he held on to eak out a single stroke victory posting 89. Stephen Ellerbe was that one stroke back with a score of 90. Patrick Warren garnered third place honors posting 92, and Mike Groom placed fourth shooting 93. Billy Lunsford rounded out the top five with his score of 95.

“Young” Joe Rodriguez takes top honors in the D flight again by putting a score of 90 on the scoreboard for a five shot win. Mike Cefalo from the Eastern NC Tour and Benton Smith finished their day T2 as they carded matching scores of 95. It was Neil Bleau coming in fourth with a 101, and Sola Edwards in fifth with her round of 105.
