"Can't Complete the Low Round? "Improve Your Golf Mental Toughness" "Available Immediately On-Line"
Every golfer has heard the saying "It's all in your head" or "Golf is 90% mental" or "Golf is the most mentally demanding sport in the world." Yet what do golfers do about it? Well, most often absolutley nothing! Not necessarily because they don't want to, but sometimes golfers actually think the mental game doesn't matter to them! Click Here to Unlock Your Mind and Shoot Better Golf EVERY golfer can benefit from increasing their mental toughness and harnessing the full power of thier mind! Many golfers naively get stuck into thinking that the mental game only matters for elite players or pros who make a living golfing. Nonsense! EVERY golfer needs to use their mind properly. It is your mind that determines how well you learn when taking lessons. (and this training course is packed with accelerated learning techniques that will have you absorbing more from lessons) It is your mind that will allow you to set up to the ball correctly and commit to your swing (or not!). It is your mind that will either stay focused under pressure and get you to make a smooth, fluid stroke when you need to drain an 8 footer for the win, or have you choking like a dog and collapsing like a house of cards when the heat is on!

=============================================================== THE SENIOR AMATEUR GOLF TOUR LONNIE POOLE TOURNAMENT REVIEW TOP FIVE SCORES BY FLIGHT =============================================================== |
BRADY AND DODGE GO BACK-TO-BACK ON SENIOR TOUR Raleigh, NC June 18, 2015 With a high temperature of 98 degrees, it's no wonder that McLeansville's Ron Brady and Randleman's Fred Dodge didn't "cool-off" from the torrid pace they've been setting lately on the Senior Amateur Golf Tour. After winning last week in a 2-day event at Bryan Park near Greesboro both managed to make it two wins in-a-row on-Tour with Brady being the A Flight top dog and Dodge taking home C Flight honors at Lonnie Poole Golf Course on the campus of North Carolina State University. Brady, with a 75, edged 2 players by one stroke for his A Flight victory - Raleigh's Mike Peters and Jackson Springs' George Shadwick. Dodge had a much easier time of it in the C Flight, 6 strokes clear of a foursome of Tour members - Steve High of Rocky Mount, Mebane's Lee Smith, Raleigh's Ed Waller and Bob Brown from Whitsett. The best score of the event, a 73, was turned in by Thomasville's Dan Anthony in the Championship Flight. Sanford's Craig Sturdivant outscored everyone else in the event except Anthony by turning in a 74. Not only did these guys put up the event's 2 best scores, but they did it from tees that were 500 yards longer than those played by members in the other 3 flights. Zebulon's Gus Alford topped all B Flight competitors with a 77. He was 3 shots clear of Pittsboro's Dwight Davis who was playing in his very first B Flight event after receiving a "battlefield promotion" from the C Flight. "Dwight made me proud", said Tour Director Bruce Hallenbeck. "I knew he could do it". Next up for the Senior Tour is the season's 3rd Major Championship at Little River, next week on June 25th. There are spots still available for that event. =============================================================== Rules Review It has been suggested that there should be a series of Rules scenarios for you to solve. So begins a series of problems titled What's the Score? Doc Miller has graciously agreed to allow me to share these with you that he has been sending since July 2009. I will include one each week. You should try to determine the answer based upon your knowledge of the Rules when ever possible and then use your Rule book to confirm. There will be no trick questions or hidden information.

Question from week #309 In stroke play, Mary, a right-handed player, has hit her ball left towards the OB line. She properly plays a provisional ball. When she arrives at her ball she finds the following situation: Mary finds that the stake which defines out of bounds in this area has somehow been displaced from the hole in which it normally would be anchored. The OB line for this hole is determined by stakes only, no painted lines are visible. The normal position of the stake is obvious as there is a square hole for the stake nearby. Mary is unsure whether her ball is in or out of bounds with reference to the boundary stakes. If it is deemed inbounds she is not sure if she can move the stake or not since where it currently lays on the ground would interfere with her stroke. If she is permitted to move the stake, she is not sure if she has to replace the stake in its proper hole. She recognizes as obvious, if she does replace the stake, it would interfere with her upcoming stroke. Which is the single correct statement that could apply to this situation? A. A displaced or misplaced stake is simply bad luck and her ball is deemed out of bounds as a result of its being beyond the OB stakes. B. Based upon the known proper position for the OB stake, Mary’s ball is in bounds; however, because of the restrictions associated with OB stakes, she must not move or replace the OB stake or else she would be penalized two strokes under R13-2. C. Mary may move the OB stake (as it no longer defines OB it is deemed a moveable obstruction); however, she must replace the stake in its known proper hole and deal with the situation according to the Rules. D. Because there are several uncertainties, Mary could declare her intention to play two balls under R3-3: her original as it lies, moving the stake out of the way, and her provisional ball in the fairway as the second. Before playing either ball, she should designate which ball she would like to count for her score. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Answer: D. Each of A, B and C have incorrect information. If found displaced, laying on the ground, the OB stake is deemed a movable obstruction. She may replace the stake in its proper hole, but is under no obligation to do so. She may simply play the ball as it lies, moving the stake out of the way. Provided she declared her original ball the one she wanted to count for score, that ball would be used to determine her score for the hole. |

=============================================================== TTour Weather Guidelines Primarily, we adhere to the same guidelines that the PGA Tour uses: If Primarily, the course is open, we're going to play. The only exception to this is that I'll never put any of you in harm's way during an event because of dangerous weather. (i.e. - lightening or severe cold and wetness). In other words, I won't let the course "bully" us into playing where an unsafe condition might exist. Because I arrive at every event at least two hours prior to the start time and I generally have to leave my house at least an hour before that to get to the course, there is no sense calling me just before the event, because I won't be at the office. The best avenue to take is to call the course if the weather seems threatening. If you are on the roster for the event, and you do not get a cancellation notice from the course after calling them, you are expected to show up in time for the scheduled shotgun start.
